You will join a team to support those experiencing, or at immediate risk, of homelessness to access an ecosystem of care. This care should provide support and enrich the dignity and wellbeing of people, including through facilitating access to appropriate housing solutions.
Ko te tūranga mahi | About the role
The Kairaranga-ā-whānau role is responsible for ….
· Supporting tamariki and rangatahi to remain connected to their whānau, hapū and iwi
· Providing focused support in response to reports of concern
· Working alongside Family Group Conference Coordinators to identify key whānau, hapū and iwi contributors who enable tamariki and rangatahi to remain in whānau care

Well, after hearing about us and about the role, you’ll know whether you’re the right person, and whether now is the right time for you. Your high-level experience and professional expertise in supporting whānau to access support is a given, and you will be excited to engage and learn alongside Ngāti Toa. Of course, you’ll be well practiced with/in
· Working in social services or a relevant sector
· A sound knowledge of working with vulnerable tamariki, rangatahi and whānau
· Working with whānau, hapū, iwi and other cultural groups to gather knowledge of whakapapa.
