Toa on Tour 2025

Our whakapapa and our whenua ground us as Ngāti Toa Rangatira

So instead of travelling across the motu, this year’s Toa on Tour brings our whānau home through a series of short videos.

These videos share our stories and the roles we each play in upholding the mana of Ngāti Toa.  In them, whānau reflect on what it means to be Ngāti Toa today, the responsibilities we carry as ahikā, and the unique qualities that make us who we are.

There are moments of laughter, sadness, and deep reflection as we remember those who have passed and draw strength from knowing where we belong.

While we couldn’t capture every story, we acknowledge all those who continue to uphold the mana of Ngāti Toa Rangatira, here at home, across Te Tau Ihu, across Aotearoa and abroad. We hope you enjoy this series as much as we’ve enjoyed creating it and look forward to building on it in the future.

Online Session: Over the past 18 months, we’ve held a number of wānanga via Toa on Tour and online options to reflect on and refresh our iwi strategy. To wrap up Toa on Tour, we’ll be hosting an online session with some of our Board members. This year’s online session will be held on Monday 10 November at 5pm, a link will be provided.
