2026 Special Resolution for ngā uri o Ngāti Toa Rangatira

We hereby declare the final result of the 2026 Special resolution for ngā uri ō Ngāti Toa Rangatira. Conducted by postal, online and ballot box voting which closed at the Special General Meeting on Saturday 9 May 2026.

The Special Resolution requires at least 75% support of those adult registered members who vote on the resolution to be carried. 

Special Resolution:
That the Rūnanga Rules be amended, as set out in the accompanying explanatory documents, to ensure consistency with the Māori Fisheries Amendment Act 2024 and the Incorporated Societies Act 2022 provisions relating to indemnities and insurance.

Voting Results:

  • YES – 367

  • NO – 24

  • INFORMAL – 0

  • BLANK – 1

As the resolution has received 93.86% support, we declare that the resolution is carried. The special resolution voting process was independently managed by Electionz.

We would like to thank whānau who participated in the voting process and contributed to this important kaupapa for our iwi.
