Utilising surplus kai to make a difference in our community

We provide food rescue to our whānau and the wider community. We collect edible surplus kai and distribute to our vulnerable communities. The kai provides good nutritional meals for whānau that ensures zero waste in our landfill.

We deliver and support foodbanks, community service providers, marae and neighborhood pantries in our community.

    New World are committed to zero food waste. As part of their food rescue programme, their stores proudly partner with food rescue national wide so that safe and edible food go to at-risk vulnerable New Zealanders not landfill.

    We are proud to partner with Kiwi Harvest to make a difference in our community.

    KiwiHarvest redistributes excess food to those in need and reduces the harmful impact of food waste on our environment, helping to create lasting positive social change by nourishing those in need.

  • Kaibosh

    We are proud to partner with Kaibosh to make a difference in our community.

    Kaibosh was established in 2008 as the first dedicated food rescue organisation of Aotearoa. We rescue and redistribute good quality surplus food - connecting good kai to charities and those in need.

Te Umu ki Rangituhi proudly value our partnership with KiwiHarvest, Kaibosh and New World Tawa, Porirua and Whitby, working together to make a meaningful different to the lives of our vulnerable whānau in our community.
