Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira is seeking expressions of interest from Ngāti Toa members to be nominated to represent the iwi on the Tasman District Council – Cultural Advisory Group.
About the role:
As an Iwi Representative, you will work alongside representatives of Te Tauihu iwi to provide guidance and direction on cultural narrative initiatives and projects. You will actively participate in discussions and decision-making on matters brought before the Rōpū and support the implementation of cultural narratives that reflect iwi priorities and values.
We're looking for applicants who:
· Have a strong knowledge of tikanga and mātauranga Māori.
· Understand Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
· Communicates effectively and works collaboratively.
· Demonstrates integrity, sound judgement, and leadership.
Commitment: Attendance at hui and workshops as required.
This is a remunerated position.
