A year in, and we’re just getting started
BizHub began in August 2025 as a Friday pop-up, a test of whether relationship-based, culturally grounded business support would draw Porirua pakihi.
A year on, BizHub has put roots down, it has built a community, and has a rhythm to how we operate. Now comes our founding coworking whānau.

BizHub Porirua becomes the model for what happens when a community decides not to wait for anyone else to build the infrastructure it needs, and builds it itself.
It is rangatiratanga made real in the economy, an iwi and its people back their own, a living answer to what Māori-led, places-based economic development can be.

Nothing. It's free for founding members for the trial period. No fee, no bond, no deposit. All we
ask is a monthly kōrero and your help shaping BizHub.

Porirua pakihi: sole traders, small teams, members of bigger teams, and anyone building
something. The founding cohort is a diverse mix of local businesses, both big and small -
come say kia ora!

No. BizHub is open to all Porirua pakihi. It's built by Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira and key
partners, for the whole community.

Click through above to our sign up page, choose Founding Member, complete the short form
and you can come in to work! We’ll then set up a time to meet kanohi ki te kanohi, have a
kōrero, and welcome you in.

There's no reserved car park with your membership, but Hartham Court South car park and
street parking are right nearby, with whole day free parking five minutes walk away at the
Porirua Park and Ride.

Not much. A monthly kōrero with the team, and your help shaping BizHub in all sorts of
informal ways along the way. You're a founding member, so your voice matters.

BizHub doesn't provide funding directly, but our mentoring and workshops can help you
understand pathways to funding, and we can point you to the right people.

Once you've signed up we set you up with your own personal access code for the door. You
use it to come and go during opening hours, and you sign in and out each visit so we always
know who's in the whare.

Weekdays 9:00am - 5:00pm from 28 August to 20 December 2026. You come and go on your
own time as you need.

Yes, there'll be front of house during set hours. Beyond that, this is your space, and every
member is expected to care for it, be welcoming, and uphold our Tikanga.

Yes. Private rooms seat up to four people, and guests are welcome. They sign in and are your
responsibility while they're here.

Yes. Each person in your business signs their own agreement and gets their own access code,
whether you're a sole trader or a bigger team.

The Peak is BizHub's monthly kaupapa for founders and business owners to step out of the
day-to-day and work on the bigger picture, with guest speakers, mentoring, and connection
with other local pakihi. As a founding member you're welcome at every one.

You're invited to keep going. Nothing's set in stone yet, but we hope being part of the trial is
the start of you being part of BizHub as it grows into the future.
