You will join a close-knit team of dedicated care givers helping rangatahi in care to help them realise their potential. You will bring your communication and Tangata skills across a variety of activities to enable rangatahi to express themselves while working within our Mauriora framework.
Ko te tūranga mahi | About the role
The Care Giver role is responsible for ….
· Implement and support care plans for rangatahi
· Provide a professional service within our contractual obligations
· Create partnerships and networks assisting rangatahi and whanau
· Implement kaupapa Māori into your mahi
· Communicate with external and internal partners (Oranga Tamariki and within the Runanga)

Well, after hearing about us and about the role, you’ll know whether you’re the right person, and whether now is the right time for you. Your high-level experience and expertise in the care of rangatahi is a given, and you will be excited to engage and learn alongside Ngāti Toa. Of course, you’ll be well practiced with/in
· Communication and relationship building
· Organising activities and events
· Problem solving
· Computer literacy
· Engagement with rangatahi
