Pātaka Toa is the leading arm of the Rūnanga for advancing Ngāti Toa aspirations in education and employment, to ensure Ngāti Toa whānau and our hāpori have choice in learning and earning.

Within Pātaka Toa are a number of key services. We’re a cross-functional service with streamlined roles that undertake unique work programmes. Across Pātaka Toa we have two available Kaitohu Matua, Senior Advisor roles.

Ko ngā tūranga mahi | About the roles

The respective Kaitohu Matua roles have the following impact within our services:

·       Kaitohu Matua – Te Kete Whakapūāwai Service. With a focus on innovation and solutions, this Senior Advisor supports the professional development suite of offerings delivered by Pātaka Toa

·       Kaitohu Matua – Te Kete Mātauranga Service. With a focus on tamariki rangatahi learning, this Senior Advisor requires a current teaching registration to lead teaching in our satellite school, Kura Toa.
