Based in a close knit team of Social Work and Care Services Professionals, you will be able to work and apply your expertise across a variety of business units from health, corporate services to social services and education.Our team strives hard to ensure our people are safe, and we adopt a kaimahi (employee) centred approach for all H&S matters.

 

Ko te tūranga mahi | About the role

The Senior Social Worker is responsible for ….

·        Ensuring all whanau that we work with are the centre of any intervention.

·        Take a leadership role working collaboratively with our partners to achieve better outcomes for mokopuna, tamariki, rangatahi, and whanau.

·        Advocate for best outcomes.

·        Establish professional relationships with Oranga Tamariki, external agencies, and internal Te Runanga o Toa Rangatira staff.

·        Sharing your skills and experience to build capability and capacity for your team.

·        Contribute to coaching, and mentoring your fellow colleagues.

Well, after hearing about us and about the role, you’ll know whether you’re the right person, and whether now is the right time for you. Your high-level experience and professional expertise in Social Work s a given, and you will be excited to engage and learn alongside Ngāti Toa.  Of course, you’ll be well practiced with/in

·        Oranga Tamariki Act.

·        Experienced in working with whanau, hapu and Iwi.

·        Have a high degree of energy and able to lead by example.

·        Provide sound advice, and be solutions focussed.

·        Make independent decisions when required.

·        Contribute to senior management hui.
