To celebrate Puanga and Matariki, an exhibition of artwork featuring the works of students and staff of Te Wānanga o Raukawa was opened at the Ōtaki Library on Friday 13 June by Hone Underwood. The exhibition will run until 6 August. Entitled Te Wā o Puanga. 

Also, running as part of the exhibition is a recording of the late Te Waari Carkeek retelling the Ngāti Toa Rangatira Matariki Story. Te Wāari is Ngāti Raukawa and Ngāti Toa Rangatira and was the kaumatua in residence for Ngāti Toa during their Te Papa exhibition from 2014 to 2017.
