Ngāti Koata, on behalf of our Kaumātua Kaunihera, warmly invites your iwi kaumātua to join us for a day of whakawhanaungatanga and friendly competition at Ngā Kēmu Kaumātua 2025. This event is a chance for our Te Tauihu kaumātua to connect, laugh, compete, and enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed space.

Date: Saturday 23 August 2025
Time: Karakia and mihimihi at 10.30am | Games from 11.00am – 3.00pm
Venue: Ocean Lodge, 20 Muritai Street, Tāhunanui, Whakatū
Kai: Light platters provided – RSVP essential
Games include: Euchre, Housie, Pool, and Darts
RSVP Options (by Wednesday 13 August):
1. Iwi Coordinators can send through a full team list, including names, game selections, and dietary needs (preferred option).

Once RSVPs close, we will share the full list of your iwi’s registered participants with you to support any travel planning.
Petrol Support:
Petrol vouchers will be provided to support full vehicles transporting kaumātua from outside Whakatū. Iwi can request this support once the final RSVP list is confirmed on 13 August.
