Ko te tūranga mahi | About the role

The Kaiwhakaruruhau is responsible for ….

·       Development and implementation of unique health needs of community members

·       Creating a safe group environment.

·       Collaborate with other health professionals to provide holistic care to community members.

·       Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all individuals, regardless of background.

·       Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain group concepts

·       Lead and supervise activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.

·       Foster a connection with Tauira/whanau while promoting physical health, mental wellbeing

·       Recognise unhelpful patterns of behaviour and empower people involved to look at alternative options

·       Maintain the mana and mauri of self and others

Ko ngā wheako ōu | About you

Well, after hearing about us and about the role, you’ll know whether you’re the right person, and whether now is the right time for you. Your high-level experience and professional expertise as a Kaiwhakaruruhau is a given, and you will be excited to engage and learn alongside Ngāti Toa.  Of course, you’ll be well practiced with/in

·       Working directly with individuals and groups within the community to promote holistic health and fitness, while focusing on overall wellbeing (hauora).

·       You will have strong networks within our community
