Our unique practice and operating model means that as a Rūnanga, we have a broad range of services (dental, community health and social work connections) that place people at the very heart of our work..

Terms: Fixed-Term

Based: Porirua

The Registrar – Population Health plays a supporting role in specific strategies that align with the locality programme for the rōhe of Porirua. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage a range of projects and tasks.

  • Work with key leaders of the locality programme and deliver outcomes that align with the goals and aspirations of the locality.

  • Navigate business and clinical environments, ensuring a practice that aligns with the appropriate systems and desired strategic approach.

Well, after hearing about us and about the role, you’ll know whether you’re the right person, and whether now is the right time for you. Your high-level experience and professional expertise in Population Health is a given, and you will be excited to engage and learn alongside Ngāti Toa. Further skills and attributes you will bring with you include:

  • Relevant professional experience, and be supported with relevant qualifications – specifically, a medical degree, and a Master’s in Public Health.

  • Registration in general scope with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

  • IT proficiency

  • A strong understanding of the significance and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and how to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way.
