Te Wāhi Tiaki Tātou (Porirua Locality Prototype) Unveils Transformative Porirua Hauora Network 

Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira is excited to launch the groundbreaking Porirua Hauora Network—a visionary initiative that aims to transform health and well-being services for the Porirua community. By fostering a unique alliance between service providers, community stakeholders, and community members, Te Wāhi Tiaki Tātou is set to create an innovative, inclusive, and holistic approach to community well-being. 

In a bold stride toward a brighter future, Te Wāhi Tiaki Tātou is championing a shift that isn't defined by conventional boundaries.  

“The Porirua Hauora Network will unite an array of hauora providers, spanning healthcare, education, housing, and social services, in a shared vision to enable community-driven change that empowers Porirua whānau to thrive,” shared Helmut Modlik, CEO, of Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira 

“By harnessing the knowledge and experience of formal and informal community groups, Te Wāhi Tiaki Tātou is weaving a tapestry of collaboration that envisions a place where whānau voices are heard and valued, especially those that have not been heard in the past”.  

Through this comprehensive approach, the network aims to create health and well-being services that are locally connected, accessible, and coordinated to achieve community aspirations. 

Te Wāhi Tiaki Tatou’s Porirua Hauora Network will reimagine the delivery of health services in Porirua. Guided by the understanding that achieving well-being requires services to be connected outside of traditional silos of work, this network will be a powerful platform to achieve tangible, measurable improvements in the lives of Porirua whānau.

Hauora providers devoted to serving the Porirua community are cordially invited to be a part of this transformative endeavor. The official launch event promises insights into the bold vision, methodologies, and community-centered strategies that define the Porirua Hauora Network.
