Kia ora, you'll find us at the Ora Toa Health Unit, opposite the Ngāti Toa Rangatira Marae on Ngāti Toa Street in Takapūwāhia. There is wheelchair access parking directly at the front of the main building. We offer a range of free community health services for all people across all ages. Our vision is that the people we serve will enjoy optimum health and wellbeing.

Kaiārahi walk alongside and empower whānau Māori to develop plans, set goals, support them to achieve their intended outcomes and document their success along the way. An important part of their role is to navigate whānau access to health and social services. Kaiārahi build strong relationships of trust and confidence with whānau and have an ongoing relationship.
New free project in Porirua to support Māori youth 18-24 years to become work ready.
This is a collaborative initiative between Ora Toa and Te Roopu Awhina ki Porirua.
Our aim is to support individuals to develop a set of transferable skills, knowledge, understanding and personal attributes to increase their employability, and resilience.
Individuals will work one on one with their kaimahi to develop a plan, get clarity on their career choice and goals.
This may include:
- Driver licensing
- Personal I.D
- First Aid Certificates
- C.V development
This is for motivated youth that are not currently engaged in education or employment.
This programme runs until 30 June 2019.
