Expressions of Interest to Te Pae whakahou Hapori (i Porirua ki Rawhiti) / the Eastern Porirua Regeneration Advisory Board
 

Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira is seeking Expressions of Interest to Te Pae whakahou Hapori (i Porirua ki Rawhiti) / the Eastern Porirua Regeneration Advisory Board.

 

The Eastern Porirua Regeneration Project is a partnership between Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira, Porirua City Council and the Crown to invest in housing, community infrastructure, training and employment opportunities, schooling and socials services in Eastern Porirua.

 

Te Pae / the Board’s role is to be the Kaitiaki of the vision and objectives of the Eastern Porirua Regeneration Project by:

 

  • Owning the vision and monitoring the Strategic Spatial Framework to ensure it is in alignment with the four key objectives
  • Advocating for the integration and coordination of the delivery entities
  • Identifying what is working well within the community and what gaps might exist
  • Advocating for reprioritised or additional resourcing to meet community needs.

 

Te Pae / the Board will be required to reflect the values, aspirations and diversity of the Eastern Porirua community. It is preferable that Board members have governance experience. However, training and development will be available for Board members with less experience in governance.

 

Te Pae / the Board will comprise of seven members jointly appointed by Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira, Porirua City Council and the Crown.
