We recognise and understand that the work we do is guided by the people we work for - the iwi members of Ngāti Toa Rangatira.
As such, it is a priority to us that we empower and enable all Ngāti Toa whānau to influence our mahi, and provide advice and direction on how best to serve your needs, expectations and aspirations.
It's also important to us that we provide our iwi members, and the people and communities we serve, with information and awareness of the work that we deliver, now and into the future.
Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira has a dedicated Communications and Events team that is responsible for the delivery of communications and events that support positive and meaningful engagement.
Our Strategic Objective is Whakawhiti Whakaaro - to provide and improve platforms for efficient communications and connection of our people.
Through this key Strategic Objective, our Communications and Events team works alongside and provide support to all other teams and services within the Rūnanga, to guide them in how best to communicate, engage, empower and connect with Ngāti Toa and communities within the Porirua and Wellington region.
Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira uses a numer of channels to communicate with our iwi and the individuals and whānau we serve. We also provide a calendar of events to support whānau to get involved in Ngāti Toa events and activities.
Our Iwi News page provides feature news and articles of interest to Ngāti Toa Rangatira.
Our weekly Iwi pānui is an e-newsletter that is distributed every Friday afternoon. Registered iwi members automatically receive the iwi pānui to their email address as part of the services we offer to registered iwi members. The Iwi pānui provides weekly updates on news and events across Ngāti Toa Rangatira.
Our Ngāti Toa Rangatira App is a mobile app that is exclusive to iwi members and provides real-time news and information.
Our Rūnanga facebook page enables our whānau to interact with us through social media.
Our Events calendar provides up to date information on events and activities for the iwi and the Rūnanga on a monthly basis.
More information on Te Heke Mai Raro (Ngāti Toa's 200 year celebration of our historical hekenga from Kāwhia to Porirua) will be available soon.
